My evaluation

This term i learnt a lot about boats and their movements and how important the hulls are for the boats. It was an enjoyable term, i had a lot of fun.
For the investigation stage my group and i did a lot of research on hulls and different types of marine vessels. But some people in the group did not take part in doing the investigation and left it to only one person.
For the plan stage we could have been much more detailed. It was very brief, we also should have followed the instructions so that we could achieve a higher mark.
The design stage was hard because non of us knew how to use google sketch. But luckily one member of the group learnt how to use it and she did the designs on the computer. The rest of the group contributes thier ideas on paper.
In the create stage was really fun and interesting because none of us never made a boat out of plasic before, so it was all new to us. But some of the group memebers took over all the work and did not let some of contribute. That was one of the hardest things about making a boat.
Overall our final product came out very well. It was exacly like we designed it. It could also float on the water. But we did not get time to make the sails.

Hulls

My group amd I chose to do a sailboat and we decided to do a V-hull, one of the most common hulls because the boat can soar through water easily. Also because we did not use an engine it would be much easier for the boat to move if the boat had a V-hull intead on a moon hull. We decided to make it with plastic because it was the easier than all the other materials. In conclusion the boat can move faster if it had a V hull.

Different types of sailboats

Sailboats:
A sailboat is completely controlled and moved by the sails. Therefore if there is no wind the sailboats cannot sail. Sailboats are usually just for relaxation purposes and sometimes for sports. They usually have a moon hull so they can cut through the water much easily.

Fishing boat
A fishing boat is used to catch fish in the sea or lake etc. One of the first boats was made 7000 years ago.

Rowing boat:
Rowing boats have usually have no engines. Oars are used to move the boats. Rowing boats are used to compete on rowing competitions

Steam ship:
The steamship has a steam engine to move it. The steam engine is one of the oldest forms of engines.

Introduction

Marine vessels have existed for many years and have many usages. The structure of the boat depends on the usage of the boat. This blog will be analyzing the marine vessels and the different structure and what they can be used for. I will be also including my evaluation of marine vessels project and the ups and downs of taking part in this project.
